Cairns & Signs
Granite & bronze can also be used for other indoor & outdoor uses, such as cairns or signs to commemorate groups, places or individuals. Carman Granite has crafted many such pieces over the years.
Communities or branches of the Royal Canadian Legion have commissioned us to do cairns in such places as Carman, Elm Creek, Cartwright, Domain, Gladstone, Crystal City, Roland & Leaf Rapids to name a few.
Service groups & families have used granite signs to mark entrances to parks (Abe G. Penner park, Blumenort, MB.) and farm yards. You can tell a story about heritage buildings (Roland) or provide a rest stop along a community pathway using a granite bench (Carman).
Granite combined with bronze has been used to recognize the accomplishments of individuals who have gain national or international acclaim. (Dr. Paul Hiebert – Carman, Nellie McClung – Manitou)
The Carman Golf Club had us make granite tee box signs to record all the information & a diagram of each hole throughout the golf course.
Granite & bronze signage may not be the least expensive option available, however once completed, everything is permanently “etched in stone”.
